Frequents Asked Questions
Are your properties sub-divided into apartments or gites?
No, all our 9 properties are houses (farmhouses, cottages & villas) so you won’t have any noisy neighbours above or below you. Plus each house has a garden with furniture and a bbq.
Are the houses and facilities close to each other?
Yes, everything is conveniently grouped together in a small hamlet in 1 central location.
Will there be children my kids can play with?
Yes, we have 8-9 families here each week so your children will have plenty of friends to play with.
Do you have a bar?
Yes, we’re lucky to have a bar licence so can offer a wide range of wines, spirits, draught beer, soft drinks, milkshakes, coffee and hot chocolates.
Is your swimming pool really heated?
Yes, it’s 28 degrees everyday as anything below this is too cold for children. After a lot of research, we realised solar was inefficient and most heaters just couldn’t maintain a constant temperature so we invested in a high tech American pool heater and this does the job perfectly!
Is Peyrecaty safe for children?
Yes, it’s totally safe. We’re a private estate with gates so your children can run around freely. The swimming pool area is enclosed and as we only have 8-9 families here it means we all know everyone.
Does the local doctor speak English?
Yes, his English is excellent. His surgery is in Belves (6 mins) plus he’s happy for you to have his mobile number. Sarlat hospital is 30 minutes away and also has English speaking doctors & nurses.
Is there someone around to ask for help if we need it?
Yes, we live here and are happy to answer any questions. You can find us either at the bar or pottering in the garden.
Do you provide a welcome pack?
Better than a welcome pack is our free help yourself larder & fridge which has teas, coffee, sugar, jams, pasta, rice, oils, herbs, spices, milk, butter, yoghurts etc.
Can we check-in early?
Yes, you can either opt for the early arrival service or luggage drop off.
Do you have a problem with mosquitoes in your area?
My children get bored in the car, is it far to restaurants and tourist attractions?
We’re in a great location as we’re only 5-25 minutes away from all the major villages, towns and attractions of this region.
How far away is the nearest supermarket?
Carrefour is 7-8 minutes away, it’s open until 7:30pm and on Sundays until midday. It has a good selection of organic, gluten free, soya and baby products.
