We
are surrounded by many
beautiful famous towns and villages but if you venture off the
beaten track you can still find sleepy French villages that are
equally as beautiful and appealing but as yet undiscovered. All
the towns and villages in this region ooze wonderful French charm.
The honey-coloured sandstone buildings with their typical French
architecture, bright red geraniums and shutters are in abundance
here, in the heart of the Dordogne.
We have listed below only a
few towns and villages that are close to us, some only a 5
minute drive away. The list could be endless as you will
appreciate when you visit this region. |

Beynac is a splendid town on
the Dordogne river, where its Chateau can be seen perched
high on the rocks overlooking the town beneath.
